About Us

Carola started her career in the sewing industry over 25 years ago as a sewing machine company educator. Through the years Carola has accumulated a vast knowledge in everything “sewing machine and serger” related. Carola is THE “go to” person if you need information or help.

Carola’s Quilt Shop has Wheels.

You will find Carola giving lectures, trunk shows, hands on classes at Quilt Guild shows, meetings and retreats and at sewing shows across B.C. and Alberta. Her Mobile Quilt Shop is packed and ready to roll at least 15 times a year! Contact Carola to book an event for your group.

Carola and Alaina Carola’s daughter Alaina was born into a Sewing and Quilting environment. As a crawler she was an A-1 pin picker upper. The “sewing machine bug” bit Alaina hard. Today she has a collection of Vintage Toy Sewing Machines and a Singer Featherweight Collection. We can’t say how many machines are in the collection, she won’t divulge that number in her mother’s hearing. You can view Alaina’s collection at it permanent home in Carola’s Quilt Shop. Contact Alaina if you have any questions about your sewing machine collectibles. She may be able to fill in a little history about your treasure.

Carola and Alaina work together full time at the Quilt Shop. Carola says, “Alaina has been an asset when it comes to colour. She is responsible for all the beautiful colour coordinated fat quarter collections. I knew I could count on her after the first time she organized my machine embroidery thread drawer. It looked like a rainbow!”
